Strategia wyznacza kierunki dalszego rozwoju Grupy PGE w warunkach dynamicznych zmian rynku energii, przyspieszającej elektryfikacji gospodarki, rozwoju technologii cyfrowych i sztucznej inteligencji oraz rosnących oczekiwań inwestorów dotyczących efektywności wykorzystania kapitału i odpowiedzialnej polityki dywidendowej. Strategia przewiduje rozwój Grupy w oparciu o trzy filary: 1. 2. The Strategy sets the direction for the continued development of the PGE Group amid dynamic changes in the energy market, the accelerating electrification of the economy, advances in digital technologies and artificial intelligence, and growing investor expectations regarding capital efficiency and a responsible dividend policy. The Strategy envisages the Group's development based on three pillars: 1. Harnessing the potential of electrification 2. Transformation of the asset portfolio 3. Investment and operational efficiency The PGE Group will continue to develop not only as an energy producer and supplier, and an infrastructure operator, but also as an active participant in the gradual electrification of the Polish economy. In this role, the Group will support the development of new industries, digital services and data infrastructure. The PGE Group's key strategic ambitions under the Strategy include: 1. Building value for the PGE Group The Group's value growth is expected to be driven by the implementation of approximately PLN 210bn in capital expenditure between 2025 and 2035, resulting in cumulative EBITDA of approximately PLN 209bn, including approximately PLN 15bn in 2030 and more than PLN 30bn in 2035. At the same time, the Strategy provides for the resumption of dividend payments from the profit generated in 2026, with a dividend yield of up to 5%, as well as a maximum Net Debt/EBITDA ratio of 2.8x and the maintenance of an investment-grade credit rating. 2. Security of energy supply This ambition is to be delivered, among other measures, by securing 11 GW of newly connected renewable energy capacity to PGE grid by 2035. The Group also aims to achieve 9.6 GW of flexible gas-fired generation capacity, 18 GWh of energy storage capacity and 28 TWh of renewable electricity generation from installations and projects implemented by the PGE Group, regardless of the partners' ownership shares. 3.Supporting the Polish economy As part of this ambition, PGE plans, among other measures, to ensure that local content accounts for at least 65% of the investment life cycle, develop a dedicated offering for data centres and artificial intelligence applications, provide services for Poland's second nuclear power plant, and implement an SMR development programme across the power generation and district heating sectors. The investment programme set out in the Strategy assumes that cumulative capital expenditure between 2025 and 2035 will amount to: - PLN 80bn for RES and energy storage; - PLN 48bn for Stable low-emission generation _including gas-fired power generation, district heating and nuclear power generation_; - PLN 5bn for Coal power generation _maintenance_; - PLN 70bn for Grid infrastructure _including grids, distribution and railway infrastructure_; - PLN 6bn for Energy solutions for customers. The financial targets, expressed as EBITDA in 2035, for the above business areas are as follows: - PLN 10bn from RES and energy storage; - PLN 9bn from Stable low-emission generation; - negative PLN 1.5bn from Coal power generation _including a PLN 1.7bn EBITDA improvement attributable to the effects achieved to date under the efficiency improvement programme, but excluding any further optimisation measures or regulatory support mechanism_; - PLN 11bn from Grid infrastructure; - PLN 2bn from Energy solutions for customers. The Group expects its disciplined investment policy to be underpinned by the monetisation of more than 70% of capital expenditure through regulatory mechanisms, including tariffs and contracts for difference. For investments underpinned by the capacity and energy markets, PGE targets an expected internal rate of return of 7-9%, while other investments are expected to generate an IRR of more than 9%. In both cases, these targets are based on the risk-free rate observed in the market in 2026. The efficiency programme set out in the Strategy is expected to deliver an aggregate optimisation benefit of PLN 19bn, resulting in cumulative EBITDA of PLN 209bn over the 2025-2035 period. The Management Board of the Company informs that the presentation on the Strategy will be published on the PGE website. Alternative Performance Measures used in the Strategy: EBITDA - Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation Net Debt / EBITDA - net financial leverage ratio, calculated as consolidated short- and long-term financial debt less cash and cash equivalents, short-term investments and deposits, and restricted cash, divided by EBITDA for the preceding 12 months. EBITDA is adjusted for one-off events. The calculation also excludes the portions of debt and earnings generated by projects financed under a Project Finance structure that are attributable to debt capital. IRR _Internal Rate of Return_ - the discount rate at which the present value of cash inflows generated by an investment equals the present value of the related cash outflows. ROIC _Return on Invested Capital_ - a measure of return on invested capital, calculated as operating profit after income tax divided by the total equity and debt capital invested.
